General information

The Workshop will take place at the Hospital Clinic of the University of Barcelona. For details on how to reach the venue, please click here.

Only applicants who have been selected for participation will be able to attend the Workshop. There is no registration fee.

Registration will take place on Wednesday 3 November 2021 from 14.30-15.00.

Accommodation for two nights (3-5 November, including breakfast) in a shared room will be arranged by ECNP at the Best Western Premier Hotel Dante. Accommodation costs are covered by ECNP.

Breakfasts and all meals mentioned in the programme of the ECNP Workshop on Clinical Research Methods are included. All other meals are at the participant’s own expense.

Participants have to arrange and pay for their own travel to and from Barcelona, Spain.

CDE Travel Subsidy
ECNP offers a CDE Travel Subsidy to participants resident in an European country with a developing economy (CDE*). This subsidy aims to support participants with their travel expenses for Workshop. The CDE Travel Subsidy should be requested via e-mail, the deadline to do this is 15 June 2021.

*CDE-countries within Europe are: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia-FYR, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine.

It is highly recommended that all participants carry proper individual travel and health insurance.

Passport and visa information
A valid passport is required to enter Spain. Please note that there are visa requirements for visitors from a number of countries. For detailed information, participants are advised to contact the Spanish embassy in their country of residence.

If a letter of invitation is required for the purpose of obtaining a visa, this can be provided by the ECNP Office. They can be requested by contacting the ECNP Office via e-mail.

Registration will take place on Wednesday 3 November 2021 from 14.30-15.00, followed by the opening session and the first lectures. The welcome dinner will start at 20.00.

The programme finishes on Friday 5 November around lunchtime.

Participants will have to be present at all sessions, from Wednesday afternoon until the end of the last session on Friday.

Certificate of attendance
A certificate of attendance is emailed to all participants after the conclusion of the workshop.

The official language is English. No translation is provided. 

ECNP requests speakers and presenters to disclose potential conflicts of interest. This allows the audience to take potential conflicts of interest into account when assessing the objectivity of the presentation.

Speakers and presenters are requested to disclose the potential conflicts of interest regarding their presentation in the first slide of their presentation.
Potential conflicts of interest can involve: grants, honoraria, shares, paid positions on advisory boards etc.
